In Uttar Pradesh’s Chandauli district, on seeing the police team lying behind late on Tuesday night, three animal smugglers abandoned their car and jumped into the Karmansha river to escape. But instead of river water, they fell on the accumulated silt and stones. In such a situation, all three died due to head injury. The case pertains to the Mangalore Karmansha River Bridge located on the Chakia-Ilia route in the Chakia Kotwali area. A numberless pickup vehicle was recovered from the spot, on which 8 bovines were loaded. Superintendent of Police, IG Varanasi Range has reached the spot with the force and investigated.
Death due to head injury
IG Varanasi zone SK Bhagat told that under which circumstances the three smugglers have jumped into the river from the bridge, it is under investigation. But according to the information, the three people jumped into the river after seeing the police team. In which two smugglers fell on the stones and they died. While one accused half water and half fell on the ground. He was taken to the hospital and admitted. But he also died. A pickup was recovered from the spot, that of Shahganj of Jaunpur. The matter is under investigation.
Two deceased cousins
Superintendent of Police Amit Kumar said that the three deceased were cow dynasty smugglers. The dead have been identified as Badhu (25 years) and Chandesh (19 years) and Deepak (28 years), residents of Ghurhupur in Chakia police station area. Burdu and Chandesh are cousins. Where Deepak was from, it is being ascertained.
Was involved in smuggling for a long time
The relatives of the deceased said that Badlu and Chandesh Gowansha had been involved in smuggling for a long time. All three bodies have been sent for post-mortem. He died due to serious injury. Police is investigating at every point.
