Metro is running very fast in Kanpur. KESCO is also doing the work of removing many obstacles coming in the middle of it. In which there is also a power line and transformer falling in the middle. In this sequence, shutdown will be taken for the work of metro between Chunniganj to Transport Nagar and Kidwai Nagar. Even today 8 substations will remain shut down. Due to which a population of about 6 lakh will be affected. On Tuesday also repair work continued due to fault in 12 sub-stations.
Electricity supply will remain closed due to metro work
Shutdown will be taken on UPFC feeder from 8 am today. Due to this the area of Chunniganj, Gwaltoli Colonelganj PPN Market and Parade will be affected. It is expected that power supply will be started here after 12 noon. likewise
Shutdown will be taken from 9 am to 2 pm at Fish Market, Military Camp Feeder, Parampurwa and Kidwai Nagar Feeder. Due to this, a population of about 4 lakhs is going to be affected in these areas including Transport Nagar.
11 kva line will shift
Shifting work of 11 KV line will be done between Vidyut Colony, Govind Nagar and Yadav Market. This work will be done from 12:00 noon to 3:00 pm. KESCO media in-charge Chandrashekhar Ambedkar said that due to this work, the supply of Barra, Gopalnagar, Chhedi Singh Ka Purva, Vidyut Colony, Govind Nagar and Yadav Market will be closed. Due to this work, more than two lakh population will be affected.
Power supply affected by fault and repair work
On Tuesday, the supply of Bhagat Singh feeder of Aloomandi section remained closed due to installation of new 400 kV transformer. This led to shutdown in the surrounding areas. Due to which the power supply remained closed from 12:40 to 2 am. The supply of Jal Sansthan and Geeta Park feeder of Nawabganj section was disrupted due to breakdown. There was no electricity here from 8 am to 11 am. The supply of Chamanganj sub-station and Humayun Bagh feeder of Zarib Chowki section suddenly tripped due to rain. Due to this there was a supply shutdown in this area from 11 am to 1 am.
Supply remained closed due to breakdown of high tension line and felling of trees
There was a two-hour breakdown in the supply of Opium Kothi of Aloomandi section and feeder number 1 of Aloomandi. The supply of Triveni Nagar feeder of Harris Ganj section is closed since 1:30 pm due to breakdown of HT line. The supply could not be started here till late night. Similarly, supply of Harris Ganj section, Ahirwa sub-station and Ruma village feeder remained closed for about two hours in the evening due to breakdown. The supply of Ring Road sub-station and Jamuna Devi feeder of Harris Ganj section had to be stopped due to felling of trees. There was a shutdown in this area from 11 am to 1 am.
