Mori was confident of holding the Olympics this year
Mori said prior to the controversy that the Tokyo Olympics would definitely take place this year. The Olympics were to be held from 24 July to 9 August last year. But because of Corona, the Olympics were postponed for a year. And it is to be from 23 July to 8 August this year. Mori, as chairman of the Tokyo Olympic and Paralympic Committee, assured the International Olympic Committee that the Olympics would take place every year.
