Tata-Airbus can jointly manufacture transporter Airbus C-295 for the Indian Airforce. The deal worth 15 thousand crores is yet to be approved by the Cabinet Committee of Security (CSS). Under this, a total of 56 aircraft will be built.
2,500 new jobs will be ready in next five years
According to media reports, this will be the first time that such a large military aircraft will be built in India. The C295 remained in focus at the Aero India show. Airbus said this would create about 2,500 new skilled employment opportunities over the next five years. It is believed that this will be the biggest project under ‘Make in India’. According to the Defense Expert, it will replace the Air Force included Avro Fleet.
83 deals with Tejas for HAL
According to the report, the number of aircraft can also be increased on the demand of Coast Guard and Navy. Earlier, there was a deal between the government and Hindustan Aeronauticals (HAL) to build 83 LCA Tejas Mark-1A jets. This deal is worth about 48 thousand crores.
