Keeping in mind the increasing road accidents in Amethi, Road Safety Fortnight was started in the entire state from today. As per the instructions of the Uttar Pradesh Government, the main objective of this campaign is to make the general public aware of road safety and traffic rules.

Public awareness rally started from Collectorate premises Today, a public awareness rally was taken out from Amethi Collectorate premises under Road Safety Fortnight, which was organized by ARTO office. The rally was flagged off by DM Nisha Anant and Chief Development Officer Suraj Patel. On this occasion, the DM appealed to the people to take care of safety while walking on the road and strictly follow the traffic rules.
DM’s appeal: “Life is priceless, follow the rules” DM Nisha Anant appealed to the people and said, “Make sure to wear a helmet while driving a two-wheeler and use seat belt in a four-wheeler. Do not drive under the influence of alcohol, avoid over-speeding and stunts. Do not talk on mobile while driving. It’s dangerous to do.”
He said that life is precious and to keep it safe every person should follow traffic rules. On this occasion, Additional District Magistrate Finance and Revenue Arpit Gupta, Additional District Magistrate Judicial Dinesh Mishra, Sub-District Magistrate Gauriganj Digvijay Singh, ARTO Sarvesh Singh and many other officers were present.
The campaign will run from October 2 to October 16. ARTO Sarvesh Singh said that this fortnight will run from October 2 to October 16. He appealed to the drivers to follow the traffic rules for safe travel on the road and also make other people aware. It is expected that this awareness campaign in Amethi will reduce road accidents and ensure the safety of people.
