The Greater Noida Authority has imposed a fine of Rs 2 lakh on two firms. The project department of the authority has taken this action after finding negligence in the works related to the maintenance of roads. In addition, clarification has also been sought from the manager and assistant manager.
Project AK Arora, General Manager of Greater Noida Authority, inspected 60 meters wide road from Sector 31, Swarnanagari, Sector Gama and Heritage Rotary to Sigma on Wednesday. During this, curve stones and post fencing were found broken at many places on the roads. The tiles on the roundabouts were found damaged. The barricading wall of the culvert of Sector Swarnanagari was also found damaged. Maintenance work related to sectors and roads was not found satisfactory.
Two firms fined Rs 2 lakh
On this, GM Project has imposed a fine of Rs 1 lakh each on the companies responsible for these works, Good Enterprises and Abhay Enterprises. Along with this, show cause notices have also been issued to both the firms for negligence in maintenance works. The General Manager has also asked the Manager and Assistant Manager of this area to give an explanation for this negligence in three days. GM Project has warned that quality degradation of any development works will not be tolerated. Quality will be checked by surprise inspection. In case of discrepancy, action will be taken against the concerned contractor as well as the officials of the work circle. Senior Manager Manoj Dhariwal, Manager VP Singh and Assistant Manager Manoj Kumar were also present during the inspection.
