Chhote Kushwaha was injured on the spot after being shot in a police encounter near the culvert of Kachnev village on the road going from Katera to Bangra.
Jhansi Police has arrested two miscreants after an encounter late on Sunday night under Operation Clean. In retaliatory firing, a miscreant has been shot in the leg, while the other accused, who was running away from the spot, was caught by the police. Together, both of them had carried out the theft incident in Chirgana village in August.
From the possession of both, the police have recovered gold and silver jewelery worth about 2.5 lakh rupees, 11 and a half thousand rupees in cash, two pistols of 315 and 12 bore, five live cartridges and three cartridges of 315 bore. The injured miscreant has been admitted to the hospital for treatment. The police is interrogating them.

According to the police, Chhote Kushwaha (41) son Kallu and his companion Manish Soni son Ashok Soni, resident of village Makarvai in Mahoba district, were standing near the culvert of Kachnev village on the road going from Katera to Bangra. Seeing the siege, Chhote Kushwaha started firing on the police with a 315 bore pistol. Then the police retaliated, in which a bullet hit Chhote Kushwaha’s leg. As soon as he fell on the spot, the police caught him. During this, accused Manish Soni started running away from the spot taking advantage of the darkness. Then the police team chased and caught him.
Chhote Kushwaha commits crimes in different districts
Both the accused who came under the arrest of the police are vicious. Together, both of them were carrying out other incidents including theft and dacoity in different districts of Bundelkhand. There are seven cases registered against the accused Chhote Kushwaha including theft in Chhatarpur, Baruasagar, Arms Act in Kulpahar. At the same time, four cases are registered against his partner Manish Soni in theft and other sections.
