The University Grants Commission (UGC) has warned universities and colleges about fee refunds. The UGC has told the universities and colleges that action will not be taken against those who are not returning the fees of first year students who have not joined the college and university course. In this regard, UGC Chairman Rajneesh Jain has also written a letter to the Vice Chancellor of all universities.
UGC Secretary wrote a letter
The letter said that the UGC has received hundreds of complaints that university and college students are not refunding their fees. In fact, the UGC had clearly stated in its academic guidelines that undergraduate and post graduate students are going through an economic problem due to the corona epidemic in session 2020-21, due to which it should be ensured that the Zero Cancellation Charges in Admission by 31 December Ho.
Refund fee will be given on cancellation or withdrawal of admission
The letter said that the fees charged from UG-PG students will be refunded if the cancellation or withdrawal of admission by December 31 in the session 2020-21. In this, the processing fee of just over 1000 rupees will be deducted. At the same time, expressing concern, a senior UGC official said that so far there are many colleges and universities against which there have been many complaints of not following the instructions.
