Buying a new house and getting it modified as per our requirements is not an easy or cheap task. Recently, a woman did something similar; she bought a three-bedroom house; and, without any experience, along with her husband, she renovated it, and now she has become an inspiration for thousands of people. Let’s take a look at her inspiring story. According to reports, Lindsay Ginane and her partner, who live in Hollywood, Liverpool, UK, bought a three-bedroom house for Rs 1 crore 79 lakh in April 2018. Despite having no experience in doing any interior courses, the couple started working on renovating their house themselves.
This couple worked on their new house for two years and renovated it so well that in these years, the price of the property increased by Rs 1 crore (16 lakh). When the pictures of this house and this story were shared on Instagram, they went viral in no time. A before-and-after video of the house was shared on Instagram.
Seeing the video, one of the users commented, “Looking amazing.”. Another one said, “It looks fabulous.” “Fab space!” wrote the third user. While many dropped heart emojis in the comment box,.
In 2020, Lindsay said in a media interaction that when she came to see this house, she understood the possibilities of this house. Later, she and her husband renovated every room as per their wishes and turned it into a wonderful family home. They also admitted that both of them had never done renovation before, and even though they were doing it for the first time, their vision was that they could make it something big.
Earlier, a similar thing happened during the height of the global pandemic: an American woman made a purchase by acquiring a severely unlivable house for just $18,000. After then, the house underwent an amazing makeover that made it a cosy and lovely residence with a $375,000 (Rs 3,12,13143) market worth today.
Betsy Sweeney, a 30-year-old expert in architectural history, invested $18,000 to purchase a 120-year-old house in Wheeling, which was in a deteriorated condition. Despite the house’s state of disrepair, Ms Sweeney recognised its potential and made the decision to restore it.
