Mirzapur Bus Accident: Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed grief over the death of the victims
Mirzapur Bus Accident: Five people, including two minors, were killed while 26 were injured after a private bus overturned near the Dadri Dam in Uttar Pradesh’s Mirzapur on Friday, police said. The bus driver also died in the accident.
According to PTI, the bus was on its way to Halia, with 31 passengers, from Sant Nagar.
The deceased have been identified as Satyanarayan, 40, who was the driver of the bus, Mamta, 26, Manita, 25, Abhishek, 2, and Vishnu Kumar, 10, were the other victims, authorities said.

The injured have been admitted to a hospital where they are undergoing treatment, District Magistrate Priyanka Niranjan told the news agency.
The accident took place on Halia Dadri Road in the Santnagar police station area. Sixteen passengers suffered minor injuries, while 10 were serious injuries, District Magistrate Mirzapur Priyanka Niranjan said.
Meanwhile, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath expressed grief over the death of the victims in the road accident.
The chief minister instructed district authorities to take the injured to the hospital and provide them with proper treatment. The CM also wished for the speedy recovery of the injured, a statement by the CMO stated.
This comes just a week after two people died and 15 were injured when a bus overturned carrying pilgrims to the Vindhyachal Dham was overturned in Mirzapur’s Lalganj, Superintendent of Police Abhinandan said.
Union Minister of State for Commerce and Industry Anupriya Patel, who is also the local MP, visited the injured at the hospital and enquired about their health.
According to the police, the victims are from the Haliya police station area of the district.
