A severe accident took place in Basti district of Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday. Here, an uncontrollable car on National Highway 28 fell into the Kuano River, breaking the railing of the Amhat Ghat police. Due to which three people died in the car. While two were injured, who have been hospitalized. The deceased include a husband and wife and their son. They were all going from Uttarakhand to Bihar. Police sent the bodies for postmortem. Fog and driver are said to have blinked due to the accident.
Family was going to Bihar to get son’s MBBS
In fact, Imtiaz (52 years) of Mohammadpur village of Udayjha, police station in Motihari district of Bihar used to work privately in Rudrapur district of Uttarakhand. His son Faiz Mohammad (22 years) was selected in MBBS. Imtiaz was going by car from Uttarakhand to Bettiah in Bihar on Wednesday. He was also accompanied by his wife Meraj Khatoon (45 years). Meraj’s two brothers Iqbal and Aamir Iqbal were also together. Both of them are residents of Madayatahir village of Bairagania, Thana in Seema Garhi district. The car was driving Faiz.
All had just reached the Amhat Ghat bridge of the Kuano River under the Sadar Kotwali area in Basti district when the car suddenly became uncontrolled. The car fell into the river, breaking the bridge’s railing. After receiving the information, TSI Kameshwar Singh of the Police Department along with the passersby hurriedly descended into the stream of the river and reached the car. People riding in the car were taken out by TSI and passers-by broke the glass panes. Additional Superintendent of Police also reached the spot. All the car riders were sent to the district hospital, where the doctor declared Imtiaz, Meraj Khatoon and Faiz Ahmed dead. While Aamir and Iqbal are being treated in the district hospital.

Additional Superintendent of Police RP Singh said that the car rider was going from Uttarakhand to Bihar, when the car fell into the river, breaking the Amhat bridge. In which two men including a woman have died. At the same time, the treatment of serious injured is being done in the district hospital.
