UP Board has announced to start NCERT based new books for three more classes in the state from the new academic year 2021-22. Under this, preparations have been started to introduce new books for English in class 10th and 12th in addition to commerce in 12th class. Tender for publication of these books will be released by January 2021. After which, these books will be available in the market by the third week of March.
NCERT books for 24 subjects
The state government has introduced NCERT books for 24 subjects of UP board in the last two years. Apart from this, the board had presented 31 books on 18 different subjects based on NCERT syllabus for Class 9th to 12th students from academic year 2018-19. Subsequently in 2019-20 also, the board had introduced some new books based on NCERT syllabus in Social Science in High School and History, Geography, Civics, Economics and Sociology in 12th.
Preparation for board exam 2021 begins
Recently, the board had planned to increase the number of centers by one and a half times for the 10th and 12th examinations 2021. Apart from this, schools which do not have access to main roads or which are not 10 feet wide, have decided not to make such schools an examination center.
