The Yogi government has a special focus on the development of Ayodhya. After coming to power, Chief Minister Yogi started the Deepotsav program.
- Tourism facilities will be increased in Ayodhya, Varanasi, Naimisharanya, Chitrakoot and Vindhyachal
- UP writers and artists will get ‘UP Gaurav Samman’
The Yogi government of Uttar Pradesh has also given special focus on promoting religious tourism in its budget of 2021-22. The government will spend around Rs 700 crore to augment facilities in Ayodhya, Varanasi, Naimisharanya, Chitrakoot and Vindhyachal. 541 crores of which will be spent only on the development of Ayodhya. Ayodhya Airport’s name Maryada Purushottam Ram’s name was announced when slogans of Jai Shri Ram were raised in the House. Apart from this, with the aim of bringing the rich ancient heritage of the state to the global stage, the Tribal Museum and the Vetika Museum have been announced in the memory of the great freedom fighters.
101 crores for Shriram Airport
In the budget, the Finance Minister has made a provision of 200 crores for the Chief Minister Tourism Development Scheme. In view of the increasing number of tourists in Ayodhya, a provision of Rs 100 crore has been made for the development and beautification of tourism facilities. Keeping in mind that devotees have easy access to the Ram Janmabhoomi, a provision of Rs 300 crore has been made for the construction of connectivity routes connected with the Sri Ram Janmabhoomi temple. A budget provision of Rs 101 crore has been proposed for the construction of the under construction Maryada Purushottam Shriram Airport.
A provision of Rs 140 crore is proposed for the overall development of the city of Ayodhya including the development of the ancient Suryakund Temple. Also, a provision of Rs 20 crore has been proposed for various schemes of tourism development in Chitrakoot area connected with Ramayana Circuit.
Apart from this, there is a provision of Rs 30 crore for the development of modern tourism facilities in Vindhyachal Shakti Peeth and Naimisharanya Tirtha. At the same time, a provision of Rs 100 crore has been made for the development and beautification of tourism facilities in Varanasi, the city of Baba Vishwanath, the parliamentary constituency of PM.
Towards the preservation of art and culture, the world has been offered 8 crore rupees for the construction of a tribal museum in the capital Lucknow and 4 crore rupees for the freedom struggle museum in Shahjahanpur, with a view to cherish the precious heritage of the state. To commemorate the completion of hundred years of Chauri-Chaura Jan Aakrosh case, Chauri Chaura will celebrate one year for the entire centenary year. For which a provision of 15 crore rupees has been proposed.
Artists and writers will get UP Gaurav Samman
In its proposed budget, the Yogi government has decided to confer “Uttar Pradesh Gaurav Samman” on the prestigious writers and artists of the state who have not been awarded any other awards in the state so far for the encouragement of artists and writers. Under this scheme, every year 05 outstanding writers and artists who raise the value of UP in the country and abroad are planned to be awarded with an amount of Rs 11 lakhs.
