JE (Junior Engineer) Rambhavan, accused of child sexual abuse, is once again appearing in Banda Court. However, today the accused will be connected through video conferencing. The CBI had filed an application for 5 days remand during the hearing on Wednesday. But the lawyer for the accused sought time to read the paper. Due to this, the court set today’s date for hearing on remand.
Junior Engineer is working in Irrigation Department. On Tuesday, the CBI arrested him from his residence in Chitrakoot. He is accused of sexually abusing more than 50 children in 10 years. The CBI wants to explore the foreign network of the accused.
Accused JE Rambhavan hunted children in Hamirpur, Chitrakoot and Banda.
CBI officials reached court with documents
Ever since the court opened in the morning, there was a lot of excitement in the court campus regarding the JE Rambhavan episode. Around 1 pm CBI officials arrived inside the court with all the documents. Shortly afterward, CBI officials walked out of the court in three of their vehicles. It is believed that CBI officials have submitted documents to the court regarding the remand of accused JE. The court has given some time to the CBI.
Most children of Chitrakoot made themselves victims
According to sources, out of the more than 50 children who have been accused of being imprisoned, 30 are from Chitrakoot district and 25 from Banda district. The accused mostly sexually abused the relatives and children of the family. JE was married in 2007, yet no child is married. He brought his brother’s boy with him in 2013 and lived in a rented house on SDM Colony.
Used to lure electronic gadgets
In the CBI interrogation, accused Rambhavan said that he used to hunt 5 to 16 year olds. Used to lure electronic gadgets to trap them. Investigation of the email of the accused has revealed that the accused was in contact with several gangs of India and abroad to share pornographic photos and videos. The accused also shared this material on social media. The victim was blackmailing the families showing photographs and demanding money.
There were allegations of harassing the woman in 2012.
The CBI team from Delhi had taken JE Rambhavan and his driver Abhay Kumar from their home in SDM Colony on Tuesday, 3 November. The accused JE is originally from Naraini town of Banda. It is posted in Chitrakoot in the Irrigation Department since 2010. In 2012, a young woman from Kapsethi village committed suicide, accusing JE and her driver of harassment by the girl’s family, including harassment.
