Yogesh Raj, the main accused in the famous violence in 2018 in Bulandshahr, Uttar Pradesh, has won the election of District Panchayat Member (DDC). Yogash, who was the former District Convenor of Bajrangdal, contested as an Independent from Ward No-5. Yogesh, who is out of jail on bail, has defeated his nearest rival Independent candidate Innocent Chaudhary by 2150 votes. Yogesh is accused of inciting violence in Siyana and killing Inspector Subodh Kumar.

Yogesh said- my condolences to both the families
Yogesh Raj has said that the needs of the common man cannot be met without entering politics. Therefore, I have now climbed the first step of politics by winning the election of the District Panchayat. He said that he is accused of inciting violence in Saina and not the killing of Inspector Subodh Kumar. Two people, including an inspector, were killed in the violence. There are condolences to both families.

Violence erupted on 3 December 2018 in protest against Gokshi
On 3 December 2018, there was tremendous violence in Siana, Bulandshahr, in protest against Gokshi. In the violence, Police Inspector Subodh Singh, in charge of Siyana Kotwali, was not only shot dead, but Sumit, a local youth involved in the violence, was also shot dead. The miscreants blew up the Chingrawathi police post and dozens of vehicles parked there. An FIR was lodged against 28 nominated and 50-60 unidentified in this case. Yogesh Raj, the main accused of the violence, was sent to jail by the police. At the moment, Yogesh Raj is out on bail.
