On Saturday, a travel bus went out of control and fell 660 feet down into the Alaknanda river in Rudraprayag, Uttarakhand. 14 tourists died in the accident, while 12 were injured. One of the injured was Namita Sharma (30), a resident of Khati Baba in Premnagar police station area of ​​Jhansi.

She went to Delhi 3 days ago and from there went to Uttarakhand for a trip. When the news of the accident reached home, mother Neelam Sharma sat down in front of the TV. As soon as she saw that 14 people had died, she fainted. The mother is desperate to talk to her daughter Namita, but has not been able to talk to her for 15 hours.

The mother says that she will not be at peace until she hears two words from her daughter. It is being told that Jhansi’s Akanksha, who was travelling in the traveller, died, while Chhabi is injured. The administration is gathering information about where these two live in Jhansi.

Namita became a teacher a month ago

Namita Sharma has been living in Rohini, Delhi for about 7 years. Earlier she was a counselor at Aakash Institute. A month ago she joined the job of a teacher in a private school near her home. Her mother Neelam Sharma said, “My daughter Namita Sharma came to Jhansi to meet me on June 6. She went back to Delhi on June 13.

She had to go to Chaupata Tungnath temple with the group. On the night of 14th June, the group boarded the travel bus. Before that, I had spoken to my daughter at 6.10 pm. When I asked her if she was ready, she said yes, Mama, all the preparations are complete. I told her to call me after reaching there. I did not call because of the journey.

Mother Neelam Sharma further said that when the bus fell into the ditch, both the legs of the daughter got fractured. She was rushed to the hospital. Somehow the hospital nurse got the number of the elder daughter Suben Sharma. She called Suben and informed him about the accident. Suben called son Kanishtha Sharma and told him about the incident.

Then we immediately switched on the TV and the same news was on. Seeing the horrific accident, my husband and I started crying. My daughter Namita is still in shock. I have not been able to talk to her yet. I don’t know anything, I just want to talk to her once. Until I talk to her, I will not be satisfied.

Brother Kanishtha Sharma said that my maternal uncle’s son Divyansh had gone to Rishikesh with his group. After the accident, we have sent him to his sister. He will reach Rudraprayag by late night. After this, we will bring the sister home.

Namita’s father Balveer Sharma is retired from Merchant Navy. Her mother Neelam Sharma is a social worker. Namita is the second among three siblings. Elder sister Suben is married. She lives in Delhi with her family. While the younger brother of both the sisters is preparing for junior competition.
