Actress-turned-politician Urmila Matondkar appeared at the Mumbai airport on Friday evening. During this time, the officials of the Central Industrial Security Force (CISF) stopped him at the entrance of the airport. According to a video circulating on social media, Urmila did not have an ID. For this reason, he was not allowed inside the airport. Later, when Urmila asked someone for an ID, the CISF asked them to remove the mask and then allowed them inside. It is being told that Urmila waited calmly during the whole process, not making any fuss.
Came to politics in Congress in 2019
Urmila, who joined the Congress on 27 March 2019 just before the Lok Sabha elections, contested from Mumbai North seat. However, despite hard work, the actress lost this election. After which he left the party on 10 September 2019, accusing the Congress workers of not cooperating. A year and two months later, he started his political innings with the Shiv Sena.

Born on 4 February 1974, Urmila Matondkar started her film career as a child artist in the 1980 film ‘Kalyug’. As an actress, she first appeared in the 1991 film ‘Narasimha’. Urmila’s performances in ‘Rangeela’ in 1995, ‘Judai’ in 1997 and ‘Satya’ in 1998 were highly praised, these three films were nominated for Filmfare Awards.
Married a Kashmiri businessman in 2016
In 2016, Urmila Matondkar married Kashmiri businessman Mohsin Akhtar Mir, 9 years younger than her. Mohsin has worked in Zoya Akhtar’s directorial film Luck By Chance. In this, he was seen modeling with Farhan Akhtar.
