Fever is wreaking havoc in Kanpur city. So far more than 18 people have taken their lives. The situation is worst in Kursauli village of Kalyanpur. There have been 6 deaths here till Sunday. Till Friday, this figure was only up to 2, but within the last 48 hours, four more deaths occurred. After the order of the DM, now the Chief Medical Officer (CMO) himself along with his team reached the village and started spraying the larvae.
People in the village are afraid of the havoc of dengue.
Curfew-like atmosphere in the village, people are migrating
Due to the continuous deaths, there has been a curfew-like atmosphere in Kursauli. Many people have been forced to remain imprisoned in their homes, while some people have started leaving their homes and moving to other places. In every house of the survivors here, someone is suffering from fever. The villagers say that there was no such silence in this village even during the time of Corona, but since this time so many people have died due to fever, since then no one likes to live here.

No facilities in CHC, no blood tests
The facilities in the CHC built in Kursauli village are also not good. Local people say that if there were good facilities here, then perhaps the lives of those 6 people could have been saved. There is also no facility of blood test sample in the government health center built here.
Whatever samples are taken here, they are sent to the medical college for examination, and after three to four days the test report of the patients is received. In such a situation, when the condition of the patient deteriorates, the doctors find it difficult to understand the condition of the patient.

Dengue confirmed in villagers
Dengue has been confirmed in more than 28 people of this village. So far 6 deaths have occurred due to fever in Kursauli village of Kalyanpur block. At present, fever has engulfed more than 200 villagers. Apart from this, more than 25 people are getting their treatment in different hospitals of the area.
The platelet count of the people of the village is becoming very low and the fever is not coming down. In view of the situation, DM Alok Tiwari had asked the CMO to camp in Kursauli village on Saturday night itself. After the order of the DM, a medical camp was set up in the village.
There are people suffering from fever in every house in the village.
Private doctors specially opened their clinics
Private doctors are also full of fever patients. According to the information received, doctors of Kalyanpur area opened their clinic on Sunday especially for the people of Kursauli village. General Physician Dr SK Awasthi, who runs his clinic in Indiranagar, said, “These days many patients are coming here from the surrounding area due to fever. Most of the patients complain of high fever with chills and pneumonia. These are all symptoms of dengue. The arrival of so many patients all of a sudden indicates a bigger problem.
