Newborn girl was recovered from a bag lying on the roadside in Paratapur police station area of Meerut district on Monday evening. The girl was kept inside three bags. After hearing the cry of the girl, people informed the police, after which the police rushed to the spot and admitted the newborn to the hospital.
Paratapur police station in-charge Satish Kumar said that at around 6.30 pm, passers-by near the Kailash Dairy saw a bag lying on the side of the road. The cry of the baby was coming from inside the bag. Passengers opened the bag and saw that there was a child of about three months in it.
On the other hand, after information, police reached the spot and admitted the girl to Pyarelal Hospital, where the newborn is undergoing treatment. According to the station in-charge Satish Kumar, the girl is currently under the supervision of the ‘Child Help Line’.
