Route divert will remain in Gorakhpur for two days. This diversion has been done in Gorakhpur University regarding the counting of votes of Gorakhpur-Faizabad section graduate election-2023. During this, the traffic system of the city will remain changed from 6 am on Thursday till the end of counting of votes on Saturday evening. Only vehicles engaged in vote counting duty will be able to go towards the university. The said restriction will not be applicable on university personnel and professors.

  • Apart from the vehicles of the officers/employees and candidates and agents participating in the counting of votes from the Students’ Union Square, no vehicle will go towards the University Main Gate, these vehicles will go via Cantt Square, Ambedkar Square, Padalganj.
  • No vehicle from Aayakar Bhawan Tiraha will go towards Vishwavidyalaya Main Gate, these vehicles will go via RTO office, Hariom Nagar Tiraha.
  • Apart from the four-wheelers of the officers/employees participating in the counting of votes from the RTO Tiraha transformer and the candidates and their agents, no vehicle will go towards the university main gate, these vehicles will go through Aaykar Bhawan Tiraha.
  • Roadways buses will not go from Vishwavidyalaya Square towards Vishwavidyalaya Main Gate, these vehicles will go via Mohdipur.
  • Roadways buses will not come from Padleganj towards Student Union, these buses will go via Mohaddipur.
  • Apart from the four wheelers of the officers/employees participating in the counting of votes from Vishwavidyalaya Chauraha and the candidates and agents, no vehicle will go towards Vishwavidyalaya Main Gate, these vehicles will go via Mohaddipur or City Mall.

  • To reach the place of counting of votes, the entry of two wheelers of all counting personnel and policemen will be from the ancient history gate of the university.
  • Two wheeler and four wheeler vehicles of the candidates and the counting agents will enter through the main gate of the university.
  • All types of vehicles will exit from the University Main Gate.

  • The two-wheelers of the counting personnel and the police personnel will be parked on the roadside between Sanwad Bhawan and Hydel Tiraha.
  • Candidates and counting agents and other two wheeler and four wheeler vehicles will be parked in the sports complex after entering from the western entrance gate.
