Michigan, where the chants were made, was recently dubbed the “jihad capital” of the US by non-profit group Middle East Media Research Institute.

People were heard chanting “death to America” and “death to Israel” at a rally in a Michigan city last week. The chants erupted in Michigan’s Dearborn during a rally which marked Al Quds Day – an event where Muslims across the world denounce Israel.

The video of the incident was posted by the Middle East Media Research Institute (MEMRI) whose top official called Dearborn the ‘jihad capital of America’ in a recently released op-ed piece in the Wall Street Journal.

Dearborn activist Tarek Bazzi spoke at length in the rally about US support for Israel and slammed the Biden administration for helping the Jewish state.

“The chant ‘death to Israel’ has become the most logical chant across the world today. Imam Khomeini, who declared International Al Quds Day, this is why he would say to pour all of your chants and all of your shots upon the head of America,” Bazzi said, referencing the former Iranian leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini.

“It’s not Genocide Joe that has to go. It’s the entire system that has to go. Any system that would allow such atrocities and such devilry to happen and would support it — such a system does not deserve to exist on God’s Earth,” Bazzi said, then egged on his supporters to make anti-American chants.

“Israel is ISIS, Israel – they are Nazis, they are fascists, they are racists. The people of the world now know this,” imam Usama Abdulghani, said.

Dearborn is a city in Michigan with the largest Muslim population in the United States and has emerged as a hotbed of anti-Israel sentiment.

Residents of Dearborn made their feelings about Israel known during the Democratic primary where they voted “uncommitted” instead of voting for US President Joe Biden for supporting Israel.

MEMRI Executive Director Steven Stalinsky even branded the city as “America’s jihad capital” in a Wall Street Journal opinion piece in February.

“Almost immediately after (the October 7 attacks) people were celebrating the horrific events of that day in pro-Hamas rallies and marches throughout Dearborn,” Stalinsky wrote, claiming that the city’s religious leaders called for the extermination of Israel.
