Vijay Babu’s Production House Q Cinemas To Debut In Malayalam Films With Eric – News18

The first phase of shooting Eric has already started in Ernakulam. The major portions of the movie will be filmed in the UK, as per reports.
The popular actor and producer Vijay Babu recently unveiled the logo of his new production house Q Cinemas and has announced their upcoming production of a Malayalam film titled Eric. It will be the debut movie of this production house. The film will be directed by the actor Shankar.
A grand event was held at the Kochi Holiday Inn Hotel on September 19 to celebrate the debut venture of the production house. It was attended by many eminent personalities of the film industry.
The first phase of shooting Eric has already started in Ernakulam. The major portions of the movie will be filmed in the UK, as per reports. It boasts an ensemble cast which includes actress Geethika Tiwari, Hemanth Menon, Praveen Prem and others.
The movie is produced under the banner of Q Cinemas in association with Osho Entertainment. The cinematography of the movie is done by Sreejith Pancheni. The music of the movie is given by Girish Kuttan while the editing of the movie is done by Harish Menon. The story and screenplay of the film are written by Murali Raman and the dialogues are penned by MKI Sukumaran.
The actor Shankar will once again hold the reigns of the filmmaking of the Malayalam film. The first commercial Malayalam movie which was directed by the actor was Keralotsavam in 2009. It starred Kalabhavan Mani and Vinu Mohan in lead roles. He has appeared in over 200 films and was the lead actor in the Malayalam films in the 1980s.
Actor and producer Vijay also owns another production house named Friday Film House. The actor-turned-filmmaker Ramesh Pisharody’s next directorial venture will be produced by this production house. Vijay Babu announced this recently through his social media. He posted a photo of himself and the director Ramesh Pisharody. In the photo, he was seen handing the advance cheque for the movie.
The makers have refused to disclose any more details about the movie. Through this production house, the actor has bankrolled some of the successful medium-budget Malayalam movies. Some of his successful production ventures include movies like Aadu Oru Bheegara Jeevi Aanu, Angamaly Diaries, Aadu 2, June, Janamaithri, Thrissur Pooram and Home.
