Last week, actor Vijay Raj took refuge in the Nagpur bench of the Bombay High Court against the Molestation case lodged in Gondia. Now the Nagpur High Court has got an interim injunction on the FIR lodged against him. Vijay was accused of molesting an assistant director in the hotel room during the shooting of the film Lioness in November 2020.

Victory trial will not be held in Gondia
Vijay Raj’s lawyer Savina Bedi Sachar said- “Under this relief, Vijay Raj will not have any trial in Gondia at the moment. He will not be called there. Until then, until the Nagpur Bench of the Mumbai High Court decides that To quash FIR or not? “

Lawyer said the allegations were baseless
In the same case, an FIR was registered against him under Gondia under 354a and 354d of IPC. Vijay Raj, through his lawyer Savina Baby Sachar, filed an application to quash the FIR. The lawyer argued that Vijay Raj had gone from the hotel to the set shooting at 6:30 am on the day of the alleged incident. There was also an assistant director who accused the set on that day. But later in the FIR it was written that at 9 am on the same day, Vijay Raj tried to contact the accused in the hotel, which was not possible.

That is because Vijay Raj left the hotel that day at 6:30 am. Hence the allegation is baseless, concocted and imaginary. Lawyer Savina Bedi Sachar said that on the basis of this argument, the court gave ad-interim relief to Vijay Raj.
