In the second phase of panchayat elections, voting will be held for the three-tier panchayat elections on eight blocks in the district on Monday. Voters will need to come wearing masks. 852 polling stations have been set up in the district. 35 zonal and 115 magistrates have been deployed in 35 zones and 115 sectors. Maximum 4338 candidates are in the fray for 693 village head posts. Kovid-19 protocol will be followed at every polling station. Without a mask, no voter will be able to enter the polling station.
How many candidates are beating for which post
Voting will be held for the Gram Pradhan, Zilla Panchayat member, Kshetra Panchayat member and Gram Panchayat member at 2552 booths. There are 4338 candidates for the post of village head 693, 554 candidates are in the fray for 40 seats of Zila Panchayat member. In the same BDC post, 21 candidates have been elected unopposed in 1007 seats. Now for the BDC member, 986 seats will be contested and for this 4530 candidates are standing in the election. Of the 8978 seats of Gram Panchayat members, 4751 have been elected unopposed. 2900 posts are vacant. Now only 1327 candidates are in the fray.
More than 14 thousand personnel will take command
A total of 17 lakh 53 thousand 588 voters will vote in the district. Araji Line block will have maximum 2,89,335 and Harua block will have the lowest 1,64,963 voters. 906 soldiers, 1790 soldiers with weapons have been deployed at polling stations. 2738 Home Guards, 175 Head Constables, 134 Sub Inspectors, Three Company PACs have been deployed. SSB personnel of a company will also be deployed.
