Former Indian cricketer Ravi Shastri is having a great time as the ICC T20 World Cup 2024 has moved to West Indies. In the league stage, a total of 16 matches were played across three venues in the USA. The Super Eight games are now taking place only in the West Indies.
Shastri, who has been part of the tournament’s official commentary panel, has already reached Barbados to cover the upcoming T20 World Cup match between India and Afghanistan. The highly anticipated Super Eight fixture will be hosted at the Kensington Oval on June 20.
Ahead of the big game, Shastri was spotted enjoying a day out on a West Coast beach in Barbados.

This region in the West Indies is famous for beaches covered with golden sands, enabling a breathtaking view of the Caribbean Sea. For his beach look, Sastri picked a casual, textured grey t-shirt, a black cap and a pair of green, mirrored sunglasses.
“This is the West Coast, Barbados– a magnificent spot. We are at the coral reef and what coming up is the Super Eights. It’s going to hot up. Time for some sixes. Go for it,” Ravi Shastri was heard saying in the video, unleashing his inner commentator. He wrote in the caption, “Nothing Beat the Carribean Maaan. Go Go Go.”
The post has grabbed the eyeballs of many Indian cricket fans, who expressed their admiration for Ravi Shastri in the comment section.
“Shastri ji always rocks, everyone shocks,” a fan sarcastically wrote.
Another user feels Ravi Shastri can turn any place into a commentary box. “Sharks have won the toss and have decided to swim first,” quipped a fan.
As far as the T20 World Cup is concerned, Team India is heading to the Super Eight round after staying unbeaten in the league stage. They registered three victorious, overcoming Ireland, Pakistan and the USA, before the last game against Canada was washed out due to incessant rain in Florida.
Rohit Sharma and his men will look to continue the momentum against Afghanistan and kick off the Super Eight stage on a positive note.
