TMC MP Derek O’Brien has praised Shah Rukh Khan’s film Pathan in the Rajya Sabha. He has said that this film has done what no other political party could do. In his speech, Derek said, ‘India is a diverse country. The same is shown in the film, I would like to thank the director of the film, Siddharth Anand, who made such a film.
Derek further said, ‘What we could not do, Shah Rukh Khan, Dimple Kapadia, John Abraham did it. You boycotted the film, but those people gave a beautiful message by making the film.
Don’t mess with the Global Ambassador
Derek O’Brien was speaking on the motion of thanks to President Draupadi Murmu’s address to Parliament on Tuesday. In the meantime, he started praising Pathan in many ways. Taking a dig at the people who are boycotting the film, he said that don’t mess with those who are the global ambassadors of the country.
Derek O’Brien has taken a dig at the people boycotting Pathan in the Rajya Sabha. He has said that the people who make Pathan are global ambassadors, nothing is going to happen by engaging with them.
The film was in controversies before its release
Obviously Pathan was in a lot of controversies before its release. There was a lot of ruckus about Pathan’s song Besharam Rang. People protesting said that Deepika Padukone has done an objectionable dance wearing a saffron colored bikini in the song. Opponents said that saffron color is a symbol of Hindu religion, so they cannot see it being insulted.
Protests against the film were witnessed in many parts of the country. At many places even the posters of the film were torn. However, when the film was released, it broke all the records of earnings.

There was a lot of ruckus about the song Besharam Rang from the film. People protesting said that Deepika has done an objectionable dance wearing saffron colored clothes, which cannot be accepted.
Pathan is a short distance away from KGF 2’s record
Pathan is creating new records everyday at the box office. Released on January 25, the film has done a Hindi net collection of 430.25 crores in just two weeks. The film has left behind the lifetime business of Dangal, while it is just a stone’s throw away from the record held by the Hindi version of KGF 2. If the figures of Tamil and Telugu are added, then the total earning of the film has become 446.20 crores. On the other hand, if we talk about the worldwide collection, the total earning of the film has crossed 865 crores.

Pathan has created a record by collecting 430.25 crore Hindi net within just two weeks.
Shahrukh posted amidst the success of Pathan
Amidst the tremendous success of Pathan, Shah Rukh Khan has posted a photo on social media. With this, he wrote the caption saying, ‘The sun lives alone, it burns too but it rekindles the darkness and lights it up again. Thank you all for letting Pathan shine.
Apparently, through Pathan, Shahrukh has returned to the big screen after almost four years. Earlier in 2018, his film ‘Zero’ could not show anything special at the box office.
