When Sunny Deol Was Asked About His Dancing Skills And He Said ‘Like Father, Like Son’ – News18

Sunny Deol is celebrating his 66th birthday today.

During an appearance on Salman Khan’s show Dus Ka Dum with Sunny Deol’s father Dharmendra, the topic of Sholay actor’s dancing skills came up.

Sunny Deol is a beloved face in Bollywood and he recently returned to the limelight with Gadar 2. While he’s a star in action movies, there’s one skill he never mastered, despite his father Dharmendra’s wish. He once shocked his father by saying, “Like father, like son.”

During an appearance on Salman Khan’s show Dus Ka Dum with his father Dharmendra, the topic of Sholay actor’s dancing skills films came up. Dharmendra revealed, “When it was my turn to dance in films, I used to feel nervous. When Sunny entered the film industry, I hoped he could do what I struggled with in dancing. However, even Sunny faced difficulties with dancing.” Dharmendra recalled a conversation at home with Sunny, where Sunny humbly said, “Like father like son.” This response left even Dharmendra speechless.

In a light-hearted moment with Sunny, Salman Khan asked him about his favourite song, excluding Yaara O Yaara. Sunny mentioned the song Jab Hum Juda Honge Jaane Kahan Honge from Betaab. It’s worth noting that Sunny Deol married Pooja Deol in 1984, and they have two children, Karan and Rajveer Deol. Karan recently tied the knot with Drisha Acharya this year, while Rajveer recently made his debut in the film industry with the movie Dono, starring alongside Paloma Dhillon.

In another interview with Brut, Sunny Deol shared, “I think we all have our different things. We live together, but we have our separate jobs. My kids were studying and working on themselves, I was shooting, my dad was busy with his activities, and Bobby was involved in his projects. We do spend time together, but we also have our own time. I remember during Apne and Yamla Pagla Deewana, we felt like we were together more on set than at home because we were working together. It’s a great dynamic. We do take some holidays here and there. My dad, they (Rajveer and Karan) fear me, so we’re not always in the same room.”

Sunny Deol, born on October 19, 1956, is celebrating his 66th birthday today. While his father, Dharmendra, was a superstar in his era, Sunny has carved out his niche in Bollywood. He made his debut in the film industry in 1983 with the romantic movie Betaab. Initially, he dabbled in both romantic and action genres, but it was his action roles that brought him recognition as a formidable action hero.
