Anmol is the younger brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. He gained notoriety after being placed on the NIA’s most-wanted list.
Gangster Anmol Bishnoi, wanted in connection with the murder of NCP leader Baba Siddique and the firing at Bollywood actor Salman Khan’s residence, has been arrested by California police in the United States.
His arrest comes after a non-bailable warrant against him was issued, sources said. Further details regarding the arrest are still awaited.
Who is Anmol Bishnoi?
Anmol is the younger brother of jailed gangster Lawrence Bishnoi. He gained notoriety after being placed on the National Investigation Agency (NIA)’s most-wanted list, with a Rs 10 lakh reward for information leading to his arrest.
Anmol faces multiple criminal charges, including two cases registered by the NIA and 18 other criminal cases.
Connection To Siddique Murder Case
In the murder of Baba Siddique on October, Mumbai Police have revealed that three suspected shooters involved in the assassination were in contact with Anmol.
Two of the accused, Ramphool Kanjoia and Nitin Sapre, allegedly told investigators that Anmol coordinated the attack. They also claimed that Anmol provided the shooters with photographs of Siddique and his son, Zeeshan.
Role In Salman Khan House Firing Case
Both Lawrence and Anmol Bishnoi, originally from Fazilka in Punjab, have been named as wanted suspects in the April 14 shooting incident outside Salman Khan’s residence in Bandra, Mumbai. In a Facebook post following the attack, Anmol openly claimed responsibility for the firing incident.
In addition to his involvement in the cases of Siddique and Khan, Anmol’s name also surfaced in the 2022 murder of Punjabi singer and Congress politician Sidhu Moosewala. He is alleged to have provided weapons and logistical support to the men who killed Moosewala.
