Retired soldier Brijendra Pal Singh withdrew 50 thousand rupees in the Punjab National Bank branch of Vanshi Nagar on Cinema Road, the most posh area of Kotwali city. After withdrawing the money, he stood in line to enter the tax passbook. Then after cutting his bag, the thieves made away with 50 thousand rupees.
Police checking CCTV footage
As soon as he came to know about the missing money from the bag, he immediately informed the Kotwali police. Police reached the spot and started trying to trace the thief after seeing the CCTV footage of the bank. However, the police could not get any clue.
