It is told that his wife Chandravati alias Chanda had reached the terrace of their two-storey house in the afternoon to dry clothes. Just then a group of monkeys arrived there. A monkey attacked Chanda. While trying to escape the attack, she fell down from the roof. He suffered a head injury due to falling down. The family took him to the hospital. Where the doctors declared him dead. Chandravati has four daughters and one son. Two of these daughters are unmarried.
