Wrestler Rahul Aware, who won the Bronze at the World Championship, has been found to be Corona positive. He went to the Sonipat Center of Sports Authority of India (Sai) for the National Camp. Here he had a corona investigation, which was reported positive. He is the fifth wrestler in the country to be infected with Corona.

Before Rahul, four other wrestlers including Vinesh Phogat, Deepak Punia have also been infected with Corona. Rahul won the bronze medal in the 61 kg non-Olympic weight category at the World Championship held in Noor-Sultan last year.

Avare will be kept in precautionary hospital

Sai said in a statement that according to the Corona Protocol, Avare will be kept in Sai’s hospital for surveillance as a precaution. Avare had been in isolation since arriving at the camp and had not come in contact with anyone. No symptoms were found in them. Deepak has been discharged from the hospital.

They are currently in isolation at home. At the same time, two corona reports of Vinesh have come negative. But they are still in precautionary home isolation.
