However, county teams have complained about the poor quality of the Red Dukes balls. This is probably the reason why both the teams have decided to go with Kookaburra. Ricky Ponting has confirmed that the ICC has given permission to use Kookaburra instead of Dukes. When New Zealand toured England last year, Kiwi skipper Williamson also complained about the Dukes balls, saying they were losing their shape quickly. Getting soft quickly and not getting swing either.
