Yami Gautam starrer action political thriller Article has been banned in 370 Gulf countries. Article 370 is the second film of the year to face such censorship. Earlier, Hrithik Roshan and Deepika Padukone starrer Fighter was banned in all Gulf countries except UAE.

Directed by Aditya Suhas Jambhale, the film Article 370 shows political issues in depth. This film is based on the PMO decision to cancel the special status given to Jammu and Kashmir. Many such issues have been shown in the film, of which people are unaware even today. The film is performing well at the box office, but has been banned in Bahrain, Kuwait, Iraq, Oman, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and the United Arab Emirates.

It is being speculated that perhaps all is not well between Gulf countries and Bollywood. According to reports, Indian cinema has many fans in these countries. After the ban on films like Article 370 and Fighter, big questions have started arising.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi also mentioned the film
In Article 370, Yami Gautam has played the role of an intelligence officer named Juni Haksar. Prime Minister Modi ji had also mentioned this film in a speech. He had said- I have heard that a film on Article 370 is going to be released this week…It is a good thing, because it will help people in getting the correct information.

Article 370 is doing good collection at the box office.
Released on February 23, this film did a business of Rs 6 crore 12 lakh across the country on its first day. The film has collected approximately Rs 34.71 crore worldwide over the weekend.
