Yashasvi Jaiswal of Mumbai has retained his form in Ranji after IPL. The 22-year-old young cricketer has scored hundreds in both the innings of the Ranji Trophy semi-final at the M. Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru.

However, he could not convert his innings into a century against Madhya Pradesh in the final. He was caught on the personal score of 78 by Madhya Pradesh fast bowler Anubhav Agarwal in the hands of Yash Dubey. In this way, Yashasvi Jaiswal missed out on scoring his fourth consecutive century in Ranji.

Mumbai opener Yashasvi Jaiswal has said, ‘I am a little sad about it, but this is cricket. You have to experience both the good and the bad. That’s what I’ve learned so far. In cricket, things don’t happen the way you want them to.

Played good innings for Rajasthan in IPL
Yashasvi was dropped from the initial matches of IPL-15, but Jaiswal played brilliant innings while returning to the playing. On this Yashasvi said, ‘The same thing happened in IPL also. I got to play three matches, then got out and then came back after seven matches, but in the middle of all this it is clear in my mind that I have to work hard and always be disciplined.

Only hard work pays off in bad times
Jaiswal said that only hard work pays off during bad times. The left-handed batsman said, ‘I am confident of doing well under pressure. The final is different because your mindset is different. To be honest, I am happy to face this pressure, I enjoy it. Whenever I go to the crease, I try to do well.
