Today is International Women’s Day. To make this day special, Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath will inaugurate the second phase of Mission Shakti today. The event is being organized at the Indira Gandhi Foundation in Lucknow. During this time, Pink booth will be dedicated under the ongoing Safe City project to provide fear-free environment to women. Apart from this, pink toilets, dark places are identified, lighting there, pink bikes for patrolling and cars are also being given to the policemen.
Safe city project will be implemented in these districts
Of the 194 crore approved for the Safe City project, 60 percent grant is given by the center and 40 percent grant is given by the state government. In the first phase, 8 districts including Lucknow were selected for the Safe City project. This time an authority under the chairmanship of the Mandalayukta for the implementation of safe city projects for the safety of women in 12 districts of the state, Gorakhpur, Varanasi, Gautam Buddha Nagar, Meerut, Agra, Kapur Nagar, Prayagraj, Aligarh, Bareilly, Jhansi, Moradabad and Saharanpur. The committee has been formed.
100 pink booths were built in the first phase
In the first phase, under the Safe City project, 100 pink booths are being constructed for women safety in different areas of the city. For the protection of women and girls, 100 two-wheeler pink petrol and 10 four-wheeler pink petrol have been given to women policemen. Pink toilet equipped with special facility is also being constructed at 75 places in the city. Under the Safe City project, the city’s dark spots are being identified and lighting is being done there.
This feature of Pink Booth
There will be only female employees in the Pink booth. All types of communication equipment will remain here. The Pink Booth will be a storey, with official works on the ground floor. Upstairs there is a rest room, kitchen, store space. The wash room will also be inside the booth. Also, solar plates will also be installed so that there is no problem of light.
CM congratulated Women’s Day
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has extended heartfelt greetings and best wishes to the women on International Women’s Day. In his congratulatory message on Sunday evening on the eve of Women’s Day, the Chief Minister said that equal participation of women in various fields is necessary for the progress of the country and society.
Booth will be technically strong
According to ADG 1090 Women Power Line Neera Rawat, after the first phase, the Pink booth of the second phase will be inaugurated today. This will prevent female crime to a great extent.
