Today was the seventh day of the Uttar Pradesh Legislature budget session. Meanwhile, the Uttar Pradesh Gunda Control (Amendment) Bill-2021 was passed in the Legislative Assembly. This bill will be applicable only in two districts of Lucknow and Gautam Buddha Nagar Commissionerate. This was followed by a general discussion on the budget presented for the financial year 2021-22. Congress state president Ajay Lallu raised the issue of unemployment in UP. It said that the BJP had promised 70 lakh jobs in 5 years in its resolution letter. But the CM has so far claimed to provide only 4 lakh jobs.
Gunda act will be easy, bail will not be available easily
Parliamentary Affairs Minister Suresh Khanna said that the police commissionerate system will be strengthened by the goonda control bill. Now in Lucknow and Gautam Budhnagar will be able to take action under the DCP Gunda Act. Earlier this authority was with the Commissioner of Police. The bill provides for a strict ban on human trafficking, money laundering, cow slaughter, bonded labor and animal trafficking. Apart from this, there is a provision under the Gunda Act on offenses such as counterfeit notes, trade in counterfeit drugs, manufacture and trade of illegal weapons, illegal mining. The culprits caught in the Gunda Act will not be able to get bail easily. Apart from this, the property of criminals will also be confiscated.
Under the new provision, police can lock up criminals for a maximum of 60 days instead of 14 days. Apart from this, the second bill was passed by introducing the Uttar Pradesh Public and Private Property Prevention of Deformation Bill 2021 in this House.
Lallu surrounded the government on the issue of unemployment
Congress state president Ajay Lallu said that out of the 24 recruitments held between 2016 and 2019, 22 recruitments are still pending. The candidates are forced to stage a demonstration in the capital on the day they arrive. The egoistic and insensitive government has left them on their feet. The state’s growth rate has come down to about 6.4 percent. In the last two years alone, 12.50 lakh registered unemployed have increased. The government is making fun of the unemployed and the youth by making false claims like giving 5 lakh jobs in 90 days. Due to financial constraints and unemployment in the state, the number of suicides of youth unemployed is increasing.
