Youth Congress leader Mohammad Akram (32) was shot dead on Tuesday night at Kanihar village under Jhusi in Gangapar in Prayagraj, UP. It is alleged that his maternal uncle has murdered along with his partner. The family took Akram to the hospital after being shot. Where he died late night during treatment. After the information, the police force including SSP Best Tripathi, SP Gangapar Dhawal Jaiswal reached the spot. The family has filed a case against Akram’s maternal uncle Rais alias Pintu and his son and friend Karia Bind. The ground dispute is being told behind the murder.
Controversy was going on over the land of five bighas from the uncle of the Congress leader
Mohammad Akram was an active activist of the Youth Congress. At this time, the Congress was the Deputy Speaker of Phulpur Lok Sabha constituency. Akram lived with his brother at his maternal uncle’s home from childhood. It is being told that Mama Rais had bought land worth lakhs of rupees in the village in the name of Akram about five years ago. After this, maternal uncle asked Akram to transfer the land to his name. Meanwhile, Akram started property dealing and associated himself with the Congress party. Akram’s maternal uncle was continuously pressurizing him to return the land but Akram was not ready to give the land. There was a dispute between them about this.
Akram was going to walk to the grocery store to get the goods at night
At around 10.30 pm on Tuesday night, Akram was walking alone to the village to pick up some goods. At the same time, the miscreants who were ambushed, fired at them. When the bullet fell on the ground, the attackers escaped. He was rushed to Swarooprani Nehru Hospital, where he died during treatment at around 1.30 pm. In this regard, SP Gangapar Dhawal Jaiswal said that the family members have given tahrir accusing the deceased’s maternal uncle, his son and three including him. Police teams are searching for the accused.
