The central government introduced a bill in the Lok Sabha on February 5 to curb irregularities like paper leaks or cheating in government recruitment examinations. In this, there is a provision of minimum 3 years and maximum 10 years jail sentence and fine up to Rs 1 crore for those who commit irregularities in examinations and organizations. This bill has been passed in the Lok Sabha and now it will be introduced in the Rajya Sabha.

Union Minister Jitendra Singh introduced this bill in the Lok Sabha. He said, 'At present the Central Government and its agencies do not have any concrete law to deal with crimes like paper leak or cheating in examinations. Therefore, it is important that those who take advantage of the weaknesses in the examination system are identified and dealt with strictly.

Non-bailable warrant will be issued
If this bill becomes law, the police will have the right to arrest suspects without any warrant. The accused will not get bail and these crimes cannot be resolved through compromise. No officer below the rank of Deputy Superintendent of Police or Assistant Commissioner of Police will investigate any offense specified in the Bill.

Not everyone will get entry in the exam center
This bill has been brought to deal with organized gangs, mafia and people engaged in such activities. Along with this, if government officials are also found involved in this, they will also be considered criminals. Any person who has not been given public examination or related work will not be given entry in the examination center.

Exam center will be suspended for 4 years
If the exam center is found to be involved in any irregularities, then that center will be suspended for 4 years. That means that center will not have the right to conduct any government exam for the next 4 years. Apart from this, if the Central Agency is found complicit in making irregularities in the examination, a fine of up to Rs 1 crore will also be imposed. There is also a provision for jail sentence in the bill.
