Apple Watch Could Come With MAJOR Redesign And Health Tracking Features In 2024 – News18

Apple Watch models, barring the couple of generations old Apple Watch Ultra range, have had more or less the exact same design ever since the first Series 0 launched in 2015. While the feature set and the overall product have changed for the better, Apple’s Series watches are in line for a major redesign.

This is exactly what multiple industry insiders and analysts have been predicting for a year or so at this point. But now, as reported by Bloomberg, the Apple Watch could finally get the much-anticipated redesign starting as early as next year.

Gurman says that Apple is planning for “at least one model with a new look.” But the major focus is on elevating the Apple Watch health-tracking experience a notch higher with features including hypertension and sleep apnea tracking. The redesigned Apple Watch could be able to detect these issues, report them to the wearer, and prompt them to get further treatment to address potential issues.

Furthermore, the report adds that these features could have serious marketing potential, and Apple may truly capitalise on the same.

Meanwhile, the current Apple Watch lineup for this year, featuring the new Apple Watch Series 9, Apple Watch Ultra 2, and the second-generation Apple Watch SE, is not expected to sell well due to the minimal nature of upgrades that were introduced this year. The design largely remains the same, and there are hardly any new features, except for the new double-tap gestures, the brighter screen, and the new chipset.

On that note, bringing a new redesigned Apple Watch could be Apple’s way to focus on its wearable category in 2024. Along with the redesigned Apple Watch, we will also see the iPhone maker launch new AirPods 4, which, per Gurman, will come in two variants: one with ANC and one without. Plus, we could also see a new AirPods Max variant as well.
