Recently, students in Kanpur demonstrated fiercely on Tuesday regarding the police recruitment examination held in the state. Around 150 students gathered at Buddha Park in Kalyanpur and raised questions on the police recruitment exam, saying that the paper was leaked a week ago and the government was not even aware of it. Therefore this examination should be conducted again. Seeing the commotion of the students, forces from four police stations were called to the spot.

At around 4 pm, the number of students started joining Buddha Park one by one. When about 150 students moved together to go to the District Magistrate's office, they were stopped by Kalyanpur Police and ACP Abhishek Kumar Pandey. The students were adamant on their demand that the memorandum addressed to the Chief Minister would only be given to the District Magistrate, but the police somehow convinced everyone and assured that their demands would be conveyed to the Chief Minister. After the protest that lasted for about 3 hours, the students agreed to submit a memorandum to the ACP.
