Police have arrested two suspects after shooting them in the leg.
An encounter took place between the police and the criminals in the case of robbery of a bullion trader in Fatehpur. During the encounter, two criminals were injured by bullets in their legs and one criminal was caught by the police while fleeing. A stolen bike, pistol cartridges and looted items were recovered from the spot.

On April 30, in the town of Khakhreru police station area of the district, three miscreants on bikes looted jewellery worth lakhs of rupees along with cash from a bullion trader and fled. After the incident, the Additional Superintendent of Police reached the spot and deployed three teams for the disclosure. Today morning, on the information of an informer, when the police tried to stop the miscreants on bikes on Dampur Ghat Road, the miscreants started firing at the police team. Taking the front, an encounter started between the police and the miscreants.
Second encounter within 24 hours
Two criminals were injured when the bullets fired by the police hit their legs and one criminal started running away from the spot, but the police team chased him and caught him. Superintendent of Police Uday Shankar Singh said that in the police encounter two criminals Asif alias Chhota and Zeeshan were shot in their legs and one criminal was caught while running away. Stolen bike, looted jewellery, 13 thousand cash and pistol cartridges have been recovered from Kanpur district. This is the second encounter between police and criminals within 24 hours.
The police have arrested the criminals after the encounter.
