The students of Agra’s Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar University have started a unique campaign for protest. The students are being asked to fill a pledge form for Yoga Day on 21st June. In this pledge form, instead of the name, the students are writing the problems prevailing in the university.

All the universities of the state including Ambedkar University will make a Guinness Book of World Record for taking oath to do yoga. In such a situation, teachers, employees, students, family members, alumni as well as their relatives of the residential institutes and colleges of the university are taking oath to do yoga. On World Yoga Day, under the direction of the Chancellor of the University, Governor Anandiben Patel, a Guinness Book of World Record will be made for taking oath to do yoga in the universities of the state. For this, a link to the online portal has been released. On World Yoga Day on June 21, the maximum oath to do yoga in the state is to be taken in universities and colleges. Under which everyone is being asked to fill the pledge form.

Students are writing their problems in the pledge form. A certificate of the pledge form is coming with those problems instead of the name. Students are filling the form by writing messages like give marksheet on time, give degree on time, get the result on time, no marksheet, no result, only construction university, instead of the name.

Every day dozens of students reach the university with their problems. Some are shown as absent in their marksheets, while some students are declared failed even after passing in first division. The most common complaint is about MW in the marksheets. Various irregularities keep coming up in admission, examination and results. More than 200 students of Agra College alone have been failed. Students have protested many times with this problem, but the problem has not been solved.

Students are not heard

MA Sociology Ankush Gautam says that by running this campaign, we want to send a message that we should be heard. We should get our exams, results and degrees on time.

Gaurav Sharma, who is pursuing PhD, says that Chancellor Anandi Ben will have to fix the problems of the university. Admissions, results, examinations are not being held on time. On Yoga Day, the Chancellor should take an oath from the officials that they will solve the problems of pending results, mark sheets, degrees, admissions.

Anil Suryavanshi, a student of MA Philosophy, says that we oppose this oath. The results are still pending. The discrepancies in the results should be removed.
