Monali Thakur was mistreated in a concert: A man sitting in the audience was accused of commenting on her private part, the singer stopped the show and reprimanded him publicly

Monali Thakur performed a live concert at Sage University, Bhopal on June 29.

Singer Monali Thakur was misbehaved with in a recent concert. While the singer was performing on stage, a man standing in the crowd commented on her private body parts.

The singer stopped the concert midway after hearing the comment and scolded the person who made the comment. The singer said that people often escape sexual harassment by hiding in the crowd.

Monali had come to Bhopal University to do a show
Monali had come to perform at Sage University in Bhopal (Madhya Pradesh) on Saturday, June 29. There was a crowd of college students at the concert. The show was going on when suddenly Monali stopped singing. She said something to her team while pointing towards the crowd and got angry.

Monali told the man- you should not say such things
After this, Monali scolded that person publicly on the mic and said that a person standing in the crowd commented on her private part. The singer said, ‘Some people comment on people secretly. This is sexual harassment and it is not right. I am raising my voice on this issue so that he can remember it.’

Monali further said, ‘If someone shouts like this in the public domain, then it is not right. You should not be like this, you are very young. You should not say such things. It will not be good for anyone to hear this, not just me. I just want to say this. I had to raise my voice on this, because people sneak out. I spoke when I got the chance. If others would have known, I would have told others too that this is really wrong.’

Monali Thakur’s team also tried to convince the boy. After the matter calmed down, Monali did not waste any time and started singing again.

The boy clarified, saying he had praised the dance moves

After the controversy escalated, the boy whom Monali had accused of making objectionable comments has given his clarification. The boy says that he had praised Monali’s dance moves and not her body parts. The boy alleges that Monali has embarrassed him by maligning his name on stage.

38-year-old singer Monali Thakur is known for her best songs like ‘Sawar Loon’, ‘Ye Moh Moh Ke Dhaage’, ‘Tune Mari Entryan’ and ‘Zara Zara Touch Me’. The singer has received the National Award in 2015 for the song ‘Ye Moh Moh Ke Dhaage’ from the film Dum Laga Ke Haisha. The singer has also appeared as a judge in shows like Rising Star, Sa Re Ga Ma Pa and Super Singer.
