An old man died after being hit by a train in Deoria. While a woman was injured. After first aid at Bhatpar Rani PHC, the doctor referred the injured woman to the medical college when her condition became serious. The police took the body of the old man into custody and sent it for post-mortem.

There is a Harijan colony near Sohanpar, the eastern crossing of Bhatpar Rani railway station. Ramnath Prasad (65), a resident of this place, and Akhli Devi (60), wife of Rajendra Prasad, a resident of the same locality, were grazing buffaloes near the railway track on Friday. Both were on the track unaware of the approaching train. Meanwhile, the train came and Ramnath Prasad died on the spot after being hit by it. Akhli Devi has suffered serious injuries. The local people took Akhli Devi to Bhatpar Rani PHC for treatment. Where after first aid, the medical officer in charge referred her to the medical college.
Women’s Medical College referred
Bhatpar Rani PHC in-charge Dr. Imam Hussain Siddiqui said that the woman who was hit by the train was brought to the hospital. The woman had serious injuries on both her legs, head and chest. After first aid, she has been referred to Devraha Baba Autonomous Medical College.
