Allahabad High Court did not give relief to Rahul Singh, accused of murderous attack on former Allahabad University student union president and state vice president of Bharatiya Janata Yuva Morcha Rohit Mishra. The High Court has ordered cancellation of FIR lodged against Rahul Singh in Colonelganj police station.

This order was given by the division bench of Justice Rajiv Gupta and Justice Surendra Singh while disposing of the petition filed by Rahul Singh demanding cancellation of FIR.
Said in High Court that he was falsely implicated
The petitioner says that he has been falsely implicated. The allegations in the FIR do not constitute any criminal case against him. FIRs have been filed by both sides and people from both sides have been injured.
The public prosecutor and the complainant’s lawyer said that the allegations reveal the crime. Some decisions of the Supreme Court were cited and it was said that the FIR should not be cancelled. On this, the court said that prima facie crime is made out, the FIR cannot be cancelled.
