On the occasion of Guru Purnima, a tree plantation event was organized at the minister’s residence in Vibhutikhand, Gomti Nagar on Sunday. Officials of Swachh Bharat Mission, members of Lions Club group and employees of the minister’s residence participated on this occasion.

During this time, trees were planted under the name of ‘Ek Ped Maa’ on the appeal of PM Modi and CM Yogi. During this time, a program of jute distribution was also organized under Dainik Bhaskar’s campaign ‘SAY NO TO PLASTIC’ to save the environment. Under the Plastic Hatao Abhiyan of Dainik Bhaskar Group, people were appealed not to use plastic bags. Along with this, jute bags were also distributed.

100 trees were planted
Under this program, about 100 plants of Amla, Jarakush, Tulsi, Jamun, Guava, Custard Apple, Bamboo, Oleander, Hibiscus etc. were planted and distributed. In which Region Chairperson Suniti and Naveen Jhingarn, Zone Chairperson Vandana, District Chairperson Environment Lion Rehana Hooda, Former Mandal President Lion Manoj Ruhela, Vineet Srivastava, Indrashis, Kainat, Club President La Sunil Yadav ji, Club Secretary La Neeta Rastogi ji, Sudeep Kulshreshtha, Yashpal Kapoor, DK Modi, Subodh Rastogi, Stella Crasta, Nidhi Nagar, Riya and other Lion members along with Mr. PK Srivastava of Urban Development Department, Additional Commissioner, other officers and dignitaries of the colony were present.
