This order has been passed by a single bench of Justice Manish Mathur after hearing the service related petition of Prof. Monisha Banerjee.
There was a complaint of harassment against the institute director Through the petition, the petitioner told the court that the Executive Council passed this order on 9 August 2024. The petitioner was not even given a full opportunity to be heard before the order. The petitioner told the court that the petitioner had complained of harassment against the director of the institute.
Even a chargesheet was not issued against the petitioner After the complaint made by the petitioner, a three-member inquiry committee was constituted by the order of the Vice Chancellor, but the committee found the petitioner’s complaint to be false and recommended action against him for keeping furniture etc. with him. During the hearing, the petitioner also told the court that even a charge sheet was not issued against the petitioner.
Adequate opportunity was given to be heard Opposing the petition, the counsel appearing for LU told the court that the petitioner was given ample opportunity to be heard.
