Cow slaughter took place late last night near the farm of Prem Shankar, a resident of Durauli village located on the outskirts of Reuna police station area. In the afternoon, when the villagers saw blood and remains of cows lying on the outskirts of the farm, they called the police and informed them about the incident. On receiving the information, Ghatampur ACP Ranjit Kumar Singh reached the spot.

Along with gathering information about the incident from the villagers, he called the veterinary officer and sent the meat sample for live testing. The villagers told the police that when they went to the field in the afternoon, they saw the remains lying there. The pit near the field was filled with water. The police called a JCB and dug a pit in the nearby field and buried the remains of the cow in the ground.

Along with this, the police is investigating the incident. The police has also questioned the farmers working in the nearby fields. However, the police has not yet found any important clue. The police is investigating the incident.
