Gujarat: Student Fails Class 10 Math Exam After Teacher Makes Mistake in Counting Total Marks – News18
Over 4000 teachers in Gujarat have been fined a total of Rs 64 lakh due to totalling errors made in board exams. A Math teacher who made a totalling error of 30 marks, which led to a student failing the class 10 board exam, too has been fined, reported Times of India.
After the student submitted his copy for re-evaluation, the Gujarat State Education Board (GSEB) found that a mathematics teacher made an error while counting the total marks. Furthermore, over 100 teachers who had made counting errors of 10 marks or more were math teachers, officials told the news agency.
