MLA met the Assembly Speaker Around 37 MLAs along with Yogesh Verma met Assembly Speaker Satish Mahana on Monday. The MLAs publicly expressed their displeasure over the beating of an MLA and no action being taken against the accused. Mahana advised him to meet Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and BJP State President Bhupendra Singh Chaudhary and present his views. Yogesh Verma said that the Assembly Speaker has assured to issue a notice of breach of privilege against all the guilty officers.
Accused worker expelled The party has expelled four BJP workers from the party who misbehaved and assaulted BJP MLA Yogesh Verma in Lakhimpur. State General Secretary Govind Narayan Shukla said that during the Co-operative Bank elections in Lakhimpur on October 9, Pushpa Singh, Awadhesh Singh, Anil Yadav and Jyoti Shukla had assaulted party MLA Yogesh Verma. Considering the actions of all four as gross indiscipline, the party has expelled all four workers from the party.
